The work is part of the European Green Market Research Initiative for Roofs and Walls, taking Nature-Based Solutions (SBN) as a reference. The majority of the European population (75%) lives in urban areas, and we are aware that our habitat model is not sustainable due to climate issues, heat island effect, pollution, energy imbalance and natural resources, among other aspects. This forces the public and private sectors to take measures in the short, medium and long term.
